I am Chair in International and Business Law, 91ÈÕº«AV, UK. (2004 - ongoing). I am the founding Professor of Law and Director of Research & Postgraduate Research Degrees, Portsmouth Faculty of Business and Law. Before moving to the Chair at the 91ÈÕº«AV, I taught at Kent Law School, University of Kent, UK as a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in Law (1993-2004).

I have been a Visiting Professor of Law (International Commercial Arbitration), (2007-2008) and have also held honorary visiting academic positions at the Universities of , , , and . I also worked as a Research Fellow at the , The Hague, The Netherlands. I am a Council Member of the , a Fellow of the , London, a member of the , British and Bangladesh ILA branches, and also a member of two Specialist Groups of the (ie, Human Rights and the Environment & Energy Law and Climate Change). I am a founding member of the .

I have been the Editor, and Consultant Editor on the International Editorial/Advisory Boards of a number of reputable international legal periodicals including , , . I have extensively published in the areas of International Law, International Business Law, International Energy Law, International Investment Law and International Commercial Arbitration and Dispute Resolution. My research project on stability in international energy contracts commissioned by the AIPN is published on the AIPN website and also published in the , Oxford University Press, 2008. I am entered in the latest edition of WHO'S WHO IN THE WORLD ().
